Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Baker Elementary!

It is truly an honor to join the Baker family as your principal. Over the past several weeks, I have enjoyed getting to know our staff, meeting families, and learning more about what makes Baker such a special place. I am excited about the year ahead and all that we will accomplish together.

You Belong at Baker is our theme this year, and it is more than just a theme. We want every student who walks through our doors to know that they belong here. We want our students to feel safe, supported, challenged, and proud to be a Baker Tiger. We want our families to feel welcomed and connected, and we want our staff to feel valued and supported.

Our students bring so much personality, curiosity, energy, and creativity to Baker each day. Our job is to build on those strengths while making sure every child receives the instruction, encouragement, and support they need to grow. We will continue to focus on strong teaching and learning, positive relationships, and consistent expectations across our school.

I also encourage our families to stay connected with us throughout the year. Come to our school events, celebrate your child's accomplishments, communicate with your child's teacher, and look for ways to be involved. Your partnership matters, and our students are most successful when school and home work together.

Thank you for welcoming me to Baker and for trusting us with your children each day. I am looking forward to getting to know our students and families, continuing to learn about Baker, and making many great memories together.
